CRE MARK REACHES HOUSE OF COMMONS

Following the theft of David Cameron’s cycle for the second time in less than a year CRE Products thought they should bring CRE MARK for LEISURE to his attention and duly forwarded him a kit to mark up his replacement cycle.

In less than a week a reply was received from the Office of the Leader of the Opposition stating that ‘David was most interested to hear of what you and your colleague are doing in the area of crime prevention’ and continued ‘ I have no doubt that any future bicycle will be marked with your kit’.

It would appear that Mr Cameron has fallen foul of what the AA insurance is describing as a potential ‘Himalayan peak’ in cycle theft as hundreds of cyclists become a victim of theft each day.

The British Crime Survey shows around 300.000 cycles are stolen in England and Wales each year with only 5% being returned.

With cycle retailers reporting a 48% increase in cycle sales from February to March this year compared with 2008, the belief is that the increase in demand combined with the current economic climate will make cycles an even more attractive item for thieves this summer.

Cycle marking was where the concept for CRE MARK was formulated with the system allowing a quick easy manner in which to make your cycle readily identifiable and we would encourage cyclists to CRE MARK their cycles to deter thieves.

Remember our kits are currently on offer, priced at £9.95 but this offer will end on Sunday 31st May with prices returning to £11.95. So give your bike INSTANT THIEF PROTECTION TODAY!
